Who we are
The mission of our church is that we are people seeking to follow Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus is the way to know God and finding peace and purpose to our lives. We recognise Jesus as the Son of God who is Lord of all and who died to forgive our sins and rose again from the dead to give new life. We seek to show and live out the same love, compassion and justice that Jesus showed in his life. Our community is multi-cultural. We are part of the Uniting Church in Australia and welcome all to come and be a part of our community.
History of Punchbowl Uniting Church
The Congregational church opened a few months before Methodist which has had three churches. The Congregationalsts always had a close relationship with Methodist and joined together before Union. The Congregational Church was burnt down which expedidited proceedings.
